Hyperbole. There are plenty of HS kids in Calc 2 and 3. Plenty of kids who are educated, more than when I grew up. It's just that Common Core is a money grab - that's the problem.

Calc 3 is rarely taught at the HS level (is it ever?). It shouldn't be this way, but schools focus on humanities over all.

Depends on the school. Most of the time they have the kid take the class at a community college. But the HS I attended had enough kids at that level where it was taught there.

You could have just said "No, I haven't seen the Common Core math". If you had, you'd understand. There's a reason people with even advanced degrees in math / statistics look at it and say "What the fuck....how are you supposed to do that?".

I have seen it and think it's utterly stupid. But saying "In only a few years, we'll have millions of new college freshmen who can't do basic math." is a lie and not true.
