Just goes to show you how hard men are getting boned in university!

Okay, okay! I'll take my problem glasses off now. I'm not an addict. I can stop whenever I want!

But didn't we all already know that in western society it's much better now a days to be a women than a man?

If you want to spend your life being treated like you're a child, then yes. I think most men instinctively recognize that this would be harmful to their development, and even proactively seek out environments where they have to fight to prove their worth and develop their value.

I'm not saying anything you said is untrue.

However, would you rather be a woman, or a man?

I mean just look at rape laws that protect men...

They don't exist and they'll just laugh you out of the police bureau (happened to a friend of mine).

Happened to me. I also had a gay stalker, and again was laughed out. I had texts of him soliciting sex acts with me in exchange for cash. In my mind, the next step is force. Fucks given by LEOs: 0.

I just decided I'd kill him if I saw him.

It's called a pussy pass. Happens every day. if male teacher has sex with underage students. They'll throw his ass under the jail, and he will be labeled a pedophile If a female teacher has sex with one of her students they call it an inappropriate relationship

In this sense, the OECD report shows the great, untapped promise of male students.

I think the elephant in the room here that this article isn't addressing is other boys. Boys often bully other boys who work hard which encourages anti-intellectualism. Boys also more often disrupt lessons, so it's no wonder that teachers often think better of the girls in their classes.

Then there's the problem of trying to change boys behaviour being criticised as treating boys "like defective girls"

If you wanna get deep. Men are culturally expected to supress emotion and dull their expirience of life in many ways in order to be the strong rock for a woman to rely on. A man can't talk about insecurities or being overwhelmed in general company the way a woman can. If you're straight and white forget about it. You were clearly handed everything and are only holding back all other races and genders.

Straight white guy here. I'm still waiting for my privilege. So far I got nuffin. I actually had to work to get where I'm at.

  • I didn't get extra privilege to get into college because my skin wasn't black.
  • There were 500% more scholarships for black people than for white people when I applied for them. Many scholarships were based on skin color.
  • I didn't get a cushy quota job because my skin isn't black.

This is probably to some extent true. Although I do think that men are also less inclined to express their emotions naturally. To believe it's just cultural is silly. Men and women evolved side-by-side for millions of years to complement one another. I don't see how anyone could believe sex differences are just physical or socio-cultural. (Not to mention the strong evidence that sex entails specific personality traits and predispositions that are even present in infants who don't know how to speak yet and in chimps.)

Ultimately, men love women and want to protect and care for them at a primal level and this is why men will abnegate their own desires and emotions to provide a woman a stronghold. I consider myself a mgtow of sorts and I don't even know if this can ever be "solved."

All we can hope for is a better relationship between men and women that does not suppress either but also does not ignore or attempt to eradicate real, visceral biological impulses.

Tl;dr: More or less agree, but don't think the solution holds water.

Well said. People playing politics with this issue, and exploiting it for snappy headlines, is getting old.

I think this argument falls flat:

  1. Men's scores have been declining. This means they were better in the past. This alone severely hampers your argument.

  2. If men's scores are declining, and we have started trying to feminize men, maybe--just maybe--the relationship is causal.

  3. Do you think that boys are like girls? This clashes with your claim that boys bully other boys. Either boys and girls are the same and should be treated the same or they are not. I think it's trivial to see that boys and girls are different, behave differently, and learn differently, and that treating them as if they were defective girls harms them.

  4. Ironically, your post treats boys as defective girls for "bullying" one another. Look, shoving the nerd's head in the toilet is one thing, but boys and men tend to be more competitive than cooperative. To more effeminate people, this looks like bullying. It's not. It's essential to masculine character building and learning and should be channeled in such a way that it helps boys learn.

FFS, I had to drill down through four links to get to the actual study (originally published in May) mentioned in the news article. Here it is, if you're interested in reading it yourself.

Of course, as with all "studies", another group will come out with the opposite results.

Anyone can publish a study. I want to see a peer reviewed double-blind clinical trial that shows the same results.

EDIT: PS: you're welcome!

school is designed for women to be successful. it teaches obedience which women are naturally and tries to stomp out any notion of boyness. i remember they called my mom in the 5th grade because i was playing with one of those paper football things. the teachers told my mom that i was "shooting it directly at people's eyes." a lot of boys don't have a chance when this happens to them due to the rampant acceptance of single motherhood in our society. you can't learn how to be a man from women

It's unpopular but that's part of the argument with gay couples adopting kids. Can a man teach a girl to be a woman? Can a woman teach a boy to be a man? There are always a lot of variables but that's part the main argument

I recall in high school there was one girl that got the same grades in math class as me (male). I always found it a bit funny as we were both C/B students. The difference was that I didn't do much homework at home, she did all of it. As a result she earned her grades based on putting in a lot of time and working through all the repetitive stuff I got my grades by scoring in the top 5 on tests. The teacher griped at me about not doing the homework to get higher grades, I always pointed out that I proved that I knew the subject on every test and actual quiz what knowledge would I gain by giving up hours of my free time doing the same problems the same way with different numbers substituted in.

Grades based on homework always did me in. I hated the premise of tests, but I could usually do pretty good on them with no work. I'd prefer an education system where people taught what they wanted with very loose guidelines and students learned as much as they wanted then given end-of-the-year interviews or projects where they would have to apply what they learned. It might be a bit more engaging than a in-class tests rewarded with a standardized test.

Correction: girls get better grades for the same work as white boys. If you allow for Affirmative Action then blacks are awarded bonus score for racist reasons, which allows unqualified blacks to fill jobs they are too stupid to do.
