I think Rand Paul said it best when he pointed out not a single person was fired after 9/11. If the government can fuck up that badly and nobody gets punished, the govt will never be held accountable

I agree with you. But, to clarify, in the instance of 9/11, no one got fined because is was a government led attack.

Good point. Put a face to this.

Nobody is going to be held accountable until you give a shit.
[–] Teeder ago
Maybe if you gave a shit someone would be held accountable

So no is at fault. It was an accident/accounting error.
It's all Bush's fault. Obama just inherited a mess.

Why isn't the FBI looking into it?
[–] pray_the_gay_away 1 point 9 points 10 points (+10|-1) ago
The president can fire the director of the FBI at any moment. Did the FBI do anything about Hillary Clinton putting the nation at risk with her self-serving email scandal? Of course not. The FBI is not an independent agency, it's an arm of the executive branch.

Congress should really be looking into it, but since both parties involved it will be difficult to throw together a committee for the investigation.

The fact that all these documents surface and nothing happens shows how deep the system is really corrupted.

This story is so fucked up. Terrible people want to run things and sometimes they do. We need to reduce government secrecy to prevent tragedies of this scale. If these criminals could hide so long, so can others. I am truly thankful to wikileaks for providing checks and balances to world powers.

I hope this takes off and burns a whole lot of careers. This really pisses me off.
Yet again, instead of allowing us to help the people most in need, the wealthiest people in the world plunder our nation's national resources.
When the hell are we going to start frog marching these bastards straight into prison?

And yet, not a single leak on the Russians for the past several years.
Hmmmm...
