There's something people are forgetting, although the price of crude is less than half it was before, the price I'm paying at the pump is damn near the same it was before. And always creeping higher.
Here at least, the price at the pump used to be the same for months at a time. Then right after that big drop, it started changing almost weekly. Sometimes up, sometimes down, but the up was usually a lot higher than the down.
Crude oil could be 5 bucks a barrel, it'll still just be pushed right back up at the pump.

For a few months, prices here in Alberta were really low. 20 cents or even 25 cents cheaper than they had been last year. Now they're only about 10 cents cheaper while oil prices remain super low.

sigh And so few people bring things like that up. They hear crude oil is down, and there's a chorus of people shouting "WOOH, CHEAP GAS, I LIKE THIS TREND!"
Guys... gas isn't that cheap. Look at the ratios over time between crude and the pump... those are the important numbers.
