well if you consider everything is moving in that direction, it is probably good that there is no law against anyone hacking and using the information. this is the only reasonable way to put the onus on the companies making the products to create secure products that cannot be hacked and used by the government. it also puts an economic demand on such secure measures and punishes those who do not use them or punishes idiots for not checking the security of the devices they purchase.
