They're lucky to be alive. Many home invaders rape and murder.

Is it possible, the burglars were hired to rob the couple specifically?

Chesley [husband] is a former attorney who won a $200 million settlement in 2001 for diet drug clients. Once dubbed the "Master of Disaster" for his prowess in winning large class-action cases, he was disbarred by the Kentucky Supreme Court in 2013 for taking more than $20 million in attorney's fees from the settlement, which exceeded the amount established by his client contracts and his contracts with co-counsel.

Edit: I did a little research into the husband, Stanley Chesley (Wall St. Journal link) In 2001, he made $20 million from the class action settlement of $200 million over this diet-drug. For that, he was disbarred in 2013, and is no longer a lawyer. By most accounts, he ought to be in jail for fraud. Hiring some kids to frighten this scumbag lawyer is exactly the sort of thing a rich, very angry, former client might do. What do you think, VOAT?

Hiring some kids...

These weren't kids, did you get a look at them? The demographic isn't one normally associated with hiring. Tell me how does one go about hiring angry feral Negroes?

Does one drive down to the local "hood" and ask someone on the corner? "Excuse me, please! Yes, you! No I don't want drugs. I wish to hire some reliable angry black men to go beat up an evil white man, can you point me to some? Around that corner and into that narrow dark alleyway? OK, that's great! Thank you!"

Nope. All burglars I know are white. The liberal media even says so.

Those things are so worthless. I "broke" into my buddies house a few months ago to feed his dogs while he was on vacation. He gave me the wrong password to the thing. Alarm was on for about 10 minutes while I was out back trying to get him on the phone to figure out the real code. Turned it off after 10 fucking minutes and nobody ever showed up. I was expecting half the police department with how much noise that shit was making, but nothing. I think the neighbors were relieved to hear the noise go off rather than scared about a burglary.

Lots of Hobbits are burglars too. Some poor dragon was burglarized by one in a recent movie, it was horrible.

[the judge's husband] was disbarred by the Kentucky Supreme Court in 2013 for taking more than $20 million in attorney's fees from the settlement, which exceeded the amount established by his client contracts and his contracts with co-counsel.

So he got retirement for his theft and they will get prison. Further proves that if you want to get away with robbery, it better be a lot.

Are there not laws against this though? How did this happen?

Knowing judges around Cincinnati, that probably wasn't random.
