So you believe that the wages will meet levels appropriate for living without government intervention. I'm going to assume you aren't living like a monk to manage to save the amount you do. Does your nation have, and have you ever had to rely on, government programs while working full time?

Nope, not living like a monk. Was eating 100% organic food and buying whatever clothes I wanted, along with electronics I needed. I like living simply, but I'm still at a point where I have redundancy and even excess (a laptop, a tablet, a 2 in 1, 3 smartphones).

There's government assistance, but I'm not aware of anyone in the country who's ever had to rely on it working full time. There is assistance for those who are unemployed, or those who are working very few hours per week, but if you're not a farmer, hairdresser or taxi driver, you make plenty working part time even.
