From ESR's blog:

I have to see it as an an attempt to smear and de-legitimize the Linux community (and, by extension, the entire open-source community) in order to render it politically pliable.

It's sounds like there might be more to this than just a bunch of SJW's trying to generate outrage here. Take out key players in major open source projects, replace them and run the projects into the ground. Can't have people migrating away from software companies which are under the thumb of these people.

When you think about it, it similar to their tactic of uploading child porn to slimgur the other day and brigading voat. They already have control of imgur and reddit, and will do anything they can to destroy alternative sites that people try to migrate to, even if they have to exploit sexually abused children to do it. Now that's pretty sick.

I feel like there's a pattern here and we need to keep an eye out for these kinds of tactics. This is about control, and these people will stoop to any level to keep it.

Most SJWs are useful idiots. Video game SJWs are involved with groups that belong to UBM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBM_plc) and run their "indie" conventions and stuff with their funding. And, if you're not aware, SJWs hate AAA and established games with a passion. UBM more than likely has intent of making an alternative games market which they have a significant involvement in under the guise of being indie.

But the whole SJWs on college campuses attacking free speech and stuff, that's a much larger can of worms which I don't want to touch for now.

GamerGate found legit connections between the SJWs and fucking DARPA and yet no one wanted to listen to them and /r/KIA told them it was just a conspiracy theory.

I've just recently (over the past couple weeks) begun to suspect this. Got any decent sources I could check out?

Here's where my mind is going.

FREE Win 10 (spying on users) + CISA (govt can get user data from private companies) = massive win to monitor population

What's a major thing standing in the way of that formula? How many posts did we see praising Linux after it became apparent just how much MS was spying on its users with Windows 10 (and now 8/7)?

Once you really start to pay attention to what's going on, it's scary how coordinated and relentless this shit is.

Make the accusers names and information publically available. Someone make a post and list these cunts.

Edit: I'll get it started:

  • Mary Gardiner
  • Valerie Aurora

Maybe Linus can shed more light on who tried to bait him. He needs to be vocal about this; people need to be shamed to the point where they can never get a tech position again for trying to pull this crap. Its needs to get to the point to where if you type the people who tried to pull this crap on the internet, the first thing listed is that they did this. Their families need to know, their friends need to know, and employers need to know...for life.

employers need to know

That sounds like a wonderful idea!

How about a morning reminder to their HR department? "Hello, just calling to let you know that one of your employees is a toxic hellcunt who is a sexual abuse lawsuit waiting to happen."

Not really. The only proper recourse is legal action, not petty anonymous calls. I'm beginning to think that the leaders in SJW movements are not really as stupid as we think, and they are just allowing themselves to be puppets of smarter people who use them to orchestrate attacks with motives completely unrelated to SJWs.

I mean think about it: the Koch brothers came out, and the public opinion ate them whole. The powerful world-controllers learned that using puppets is the way to go. Maybe the Kock brothers becoming public was just a test, but I think that thought might deserve a tinfoil hat.

This is happening in pretty much all areas.

There was an article not long ago about how bosses don't bring women to confidential meetings (because they'd have to be alone with a woman behind closed doors), take them for out-of-office activities (like dinners, play golf, etc.) or not even let female staff drive them to places in fear of being accused of sexual harassment and have their careers destroyed by such accusations.

The consequence of that is that they don't get the mentoring and experience that would help them and bosses don't know them well enough to consider them for positions that require trust - hampering their career advancement.

They killed the Mad Men culture and created the Paranoid Men culture in an amazing case of backfire.

Edit: spelling mistakes.

They're not reducing progress in their minds, because their goal isn't social justice or women's rights. It's about gaining as much attention, validation, and social power that they can. They're just giving lip service to social justice.

Please man, don't generalize. IF this shit is real (and I hope it's seriously investigated and exposed) Women will be biggest victims of this crap: they will become a liability for pretty much any company and the real victims of sexual assault will be ignored or worse because these... snakes decided to use repugnant methods for their ill intended... whatever the fuck they wanted to achieve.

Seriously man, the real victims of this shit are the hard working, decent women that are as disgusted by this individuals as we all are.

Fucking sick bastards.

This proves my point that the SJW movement is a government operation. Why would they be going after Linus unless they wanted control over linux. With the changes in Windows 10, I am not suprised they are trying to control any other OS's they do not gave control over to eliminate our privacy.

[–] weezkitty 0 points 23 points (+23|-0) ago

They could be acting as useful idiots either on behalf of the government or corporate. All that needs to happen is they need to be seeded with an idea and they run with it (see piss for equality)

They go after every male space they can. Linus is a prime target because he's a white male, unapologetic, and extremely well respected in the predominantly male FOSS community. Getting a rape accusation on him would be heralded as a major victory by the SJW crowd.

0
14

[–] Question_Authority 0 points 14 points (+14|-0) ago

I think its an attempt to get him out as a kernel maintainer to get someone "SJW friendly" in.

(and at that point get whatever NSA changes that need to be incorporated into the kernel inserted and covered up... but hey thats my theory)

[–] Vailx 4 points 9 points (+13|-4) ago

If it looks like a conspiracy and smells like a conspiracy... the odds are still much higher that it is coincidence. Linus has no time for PC bullshit, and has become a celebrity by bring smart, uncompromising, and an asshole. He started his career by doing the opposite of what everyone said ("RISC processors will be the future" -> nope, "monolithic kernels don't work well" -> nope, many others), and actively posts wildly inflammatory stuff ( " even if the choice of C were to do nothing but keep the C++ programmers out, that in itself would be a huge reason to use C").

Linus acts with absolute authority and license and spares feelings not at all.

Anyone who was able to get any kind of attention seeking accusation to stick would themselves be famous, get to talk to the UN, be on all the mainstream media, etc.

Now, of the groups that do this sort of thing, which ones ALSO are all about pumping up awareness of their brand?

You don't need a conspiracy theory to explain this.

You are 100% correct. The only reason to target someone like him, in this way, is to weaken the Linux open source project. Linus has proven himself too astute to let shitty exploits into the kernel. This dovetails with my belief that systemd is an attempt to make an end-run around the kernel, which they haven't been able to compromise, by poking holes in the next most important part of an OS, the init system.

Basically from what I've read around this Sarah sharp got her feeling hurt because Linus wants a certain quality for Linux. The znet article (calling her the victim of "assult") basically makes Linus and the Linux community look like a bunch of bad people. From what I've also read he was mad because the driver she released had some big issues with security. He called her out (like he does to everyone) and she got sad/angry and left. It is well known that Linus gets mad and speaks out at bad things for Linux everyone in the community knows that. Most take it as a challenge to make it better.

Her USB3 drivers have weird bugs lurking in them that affect users simply for having USB3 hardware, whether they're actually trying to use a device through it or not. So if your motherboard has USB3 ports on it, it's SOL for certain devices. Check out this page.

I'm actually happy and a bit excited that Linus ended up in their crosshair. He doesn't take shit from anyone and won't hold any of his punches no matter how much it might hurt someone's feelings, or people's perception of him. Keeping it real.

That's how you know it's not personal. If they wanted to ruin his popular image (lol) they'd do exactly what. What they clearly are after is his powerful position. That will require evidence.
