I usually don't bother with anything but the tech articles myself, but when the entire rest of tech journalism is chugging the koolaid like a man dying from dehydration, there's hardly much you can do.

Reddit has a lot of friends in the media and/or lazy journalists "report"/repost stuff from there, so there's some loyalty. The only place I've really seen go after Reddit is Gawker, and that's just because Gawker goes after anyone it sees as a competitor.

What am I supposed to do? Keep a spreadsheet with the names of every journalist from every news source I read and rate their quality or something.
