Because a lot of people see it as trite, and consider, say, details about the news more worthy of rising to the top.

Although I'm not shitting on OP, he might be Russian or something for all I know.

It's probably just a mobile user accidentally downvoating with their fat clumsy digits. I do that plenty of times. Also, there are barely any downvoats, what are you guys on about? And even if it were more, who cares what some random jerks on the internet think.

Signing off, a random jerk.

Another plane crash :( It seems this occurs way more lately, or at least it is reported more.

Don't forget about the Dynamics Air plane that burst into flames this week when it was just taxiing on the runway.

What a terrible tragedy. Just purely unfortunate for those onboard.

Wonder why the news articles I read are showing awkward shots of Putin's grimacing face. Would the same happen of Merkel if a German plane crashed or Oohbumma if an American plane crashed? Bizarre. I suppose anything to paint the Russians as being bad guys and at fault or to stir up political controversy.

I don't understand how Putin grimacing in any way paints Russia in a bad light in this situation. It's a massive loss of civilian life; showing him feeling bad about this is entirely within reason, and yes, I think we'd see other world leaders presented showing the same kind of emotional distress. Maybe you're just reading too much into this?

Pretty sure they are doing that to point out a Russian failure when Russia is mocking America by making intelligent decisions. Basically I was just trying to point out the media bias. Putin isn't the sole of Russia just like Obama isnt if U S A or Merkel of Germany etc. It has nothing to do with Putin or politics but the media is trying the paint the picture that this a grievous failure of Russia and that Putin is all at fault by posting pictures like that.

Islamic State's affiliate in Egypt claimed responsibility for the crash. Russia says not possible, they don't have the advanced weaponry. They've recovered the black box so we'll see, but it's reported the plane broke in two and then when straight down.

RIP. Yet another pointless tragedy brought to the world by Islam.

Does this event change the USA position when it comes to NOT assisting Russia defeat ISIS?

ISIS claims responsibility. The USA Obama Administration is training and equipping Jihadist groups that cooperate and coordinate with all their Jihadist brethren including ISIS.

And the USA chose to insert US Special Forces units into the Syrian War just this week to help supply and train more Jihadists as they now try to fight the Russian special forces and secular regime of al-Assad. (Recall that US military officials have told Congress that they failed to find moderates over the year or so of the train and equip program, right? That leaves Jihadists.)

This is madness.

The US Public does not support the USA actions in Syria. The USA has no conceivable strategy to win on the ground in Syria without bringing in tens of thousands of more US soldiers. And if success is achieved and Assad is forced out, then ISIS will be the defacto victor as there are no "moderate", meaning secular/nonreligious, opposition forces fighting Assad.

The Kurds are NOT fighting al-Assad and have a tactical truce with him as they just want their own territory that encompasses parts of Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Does the USA want ISIS and Sunni Jihadists to rule over Syria? That will most certainly = genocide against the Alawites and Christians that fight with Assad.

What does the USA public get for this intervention and the inevitable loss of our US soldiers? NOTHING. Oil we don't need. And we have no ideological conflict with Russia as the Cold War ended quite some time ago. So what it the point here?

Let me underscore that OIL/Fossil Fuels are no longer something to fight over when the USA, itself, has fracked its way to the top in oil production and oil is as cheap as it has been in 30 years. Oh, right, and we cannot even use 4/5ths of the currently known oil reserves without wrecking our planet to the point of human ruin.

So what the fuck is the upside here? NOTHING. We have incompetent leaders who have policies that are 40 years old and these Fucktards are running those policies without consideration to the latest known realities.

The USA is on Auto-Pilot.
