Wow! That should tell you something. The officer in question has the support of the students and the students likely know that troubled kid that sparked this entire incident.

Still, WTF was the officer thinking when he went Rambo on the little idiot? That the students get a different, positive impression is important to consider here. They know something about what happened that we don't.

A new higher definition video at a better angle came out recently. She threw a punch at the cop as soon as he put his hands on her.

Nice, that is awesome:

"We are raising a generation of entitled brats who think they are above all authority and the law. What are we teaching “children” and young adults when a 17- or 18-year-old can disrupt a class, ignore 3 adult authority figures, and STRIKE an officer, and the officer gets fired for handling the situation?"

I wouldn't say that she threw a punch, that was her trying to push him aside (lol... don't do that with a cop!). I don't think there's any reason to exaggerate what happened, pretty obvious. But the media is now all 'punch punch punch'. (if that's the video that's supposed to show the punch).

Officer Fields was in the right to remove her but fuck... that was sloppy - damn nearly beaned that girl (behind the girl getting arrested) in the head with that chair flipping. All it did was make ammunition for people to yell about police brutality.

Remove the other students to the hallway, call in backup (if needed), bring out the cuffs, and then do what you need to do. From what's been posted about the girl that was arrested, seems like she was a total shit bag.

Still totally unnecessary.

I think when this student refused to cooperate, they should have emptied the classroom, and left her there. Maybe bring in a video camera, and get her on camera, agreeing that it was her voluntary choice to not follow rules, and thereby surrender any claim she had to a right to go to school there. When she left, she could open the nice envelope at home, notifying her of permanent expulsion. Include a bill to her parents for the taxpayers' cost to educate her to that point. Maybe also a bill for the cost to the lost classroom time for the other kids. Should also invalidate any future claims to welfare, or any state aid, or disability.

Nobody had to hit anybody. Nobody's life was in danger until the cop decided to play Dirty Harry.

So I chalk this up to impotent useless administrators, who refuse to do a damn thing to discipline kids, and to protect the kids who ARE trying to behave and get educated. So they fall back to what: state sanctioned violence. Like the fucking middle ages, right here in the 21st century.

Gee, it's almost like you never get the whole story from the media or something.

“I addressed the students to let them know that we understood their need to make their voices heard,” Temoney said. “Then I reminded them that Spring Valley high is all about the business of teaching and learning, so it’s time to go back to class.”

Students then returned to class in an orderly fashion less than 10 minutes after the protest began, Temoney said.

It sounds like the students who are protesting for the cop have a certain demeanor about them.

And our kids are so pussified they did. We had a walkout when they fired our principal and when they came out to tell us to go back to class people started throwing shit at them.

"We will not stand for students derailing our 'racist cop attacking poor black children' train. Get back to class."
