I don't think that is what he was saying at all. He was just giving a reference point. Neither falls or terrorism or rattle snake bites are relevant to the problem of some cops being likely to shoot people.

100% of people die. Often, being old as fuck and unable to recover from a fall is a popular way to "die of old age".

Cops and terrorists have something in common--they aren't accidents. They're one person killing another. They have something else in common--people are scared of it happening. OPs point is perhaps more people should be scared of cops than terrorists.

Rattlesnakes, falls, and "eating processed meat" (You mean in 1947, when listeria was actually a big deal?) all fall under "shit happens", not, "my fellow man might kill me".
