This is literally what they made Butters do in the Safe Space episode of South Park.

Fucking hilarious.

I've been thinking. Is south park even technically satire this season? I mean, isn't satire characterized by subtle inflation of real life critiques? I almost think this season is a mildly-fictionalized cartoon documentary.

It's still satirical, but only barely. They've hit so close to home this season that it's hard to convince myself that the team behind it isn't prescient. If it weren't for the Canadian episode, i would say that they've abandoned humor and gone straight for realism.

Predictive programming. People already saw it on southpark, so they won't object as much.

I wonder. I got pretty angry watching the first 5 episodes this season (way too close to home I suppose) , though I guess each person might have a different reaction.

"The Simpsons Did It" is turning into South Park did it

[–] GlipGlops 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

"The Simpson's Did It" episode was in the 6th season of South Park, and came out after the 13th season of the Simpson's. We are now in the 19th season of South Park, or 6 seasons past "The Simpson's Did It" point. That is to say, as much television time has passed between "The Simpson's Did It" and now, as how much "Simpson's" had existed when that episode aired. South Park is now 50% older than the Simpson's was when that episode aired.

This has already spread into the real world. No one bothered to stop it when it was small enough, everybody was smoking pot and playing video games. Now you are going to have to change.

I wouldn't say it's unstoppable now, but it's going to be a fight. I'd say it's sort of like the Stamp Act: contrary to what you might think, America was utterly and completely resigned and ready to passively accept it until Patrick Henry came along and more or less created the resistance we all remember. We can see this effect with campus carry: once the ball got rolling, it's become increasingly common for states to abolish gun-free zones on campus; I expect the same will happen with free-speech zones. But until the first bills got started, all we saw was a loose, disorganized grumbling.

Universities are politicized institutions, much as they like to pretend otherwise. Bitching to them doesn't matter because they're mostly following their constituency or their movers and shakers; the only way to overcome that wall is to go directly to their bosses, so to speak, and get the legislatures and the courts to overrule them. It's going to be a fight, but the stamped paper hasn't arrived just yet - and the more places that actively reject this nonsense, rather than passively resist it, the harder it will be to defend in the areas that have fallen.

So this is how totalitarianism happens... not by the government plotting such devices of censorship... but from FUCKING RETARDS DEMANDING IT.

Subtle manipulation through media and education are taking place. These are the useful idiots who believe they are thinking for themselves.

It seems like they already build their strategy on micro-Reichstag events. Recently on my alma mater's campus a white student yelled nigger at some black students, and while I don't agree with those sorts of hateful actions, all of the social justice organizations came out in full force to protest. They weren't done there, no, they used this event to take every bit of power they could snatch, and have attempted to apply mounting pressure upon the Chancellor of the university, who now sees his job in jeopardy.

The first amendment has already been neutralized on college campuses across the country. They are educating (brainwashing) young people into this victimhood nonsense.

How in the hell are universities supposed to be remotely capable of monitoring and policing every single anonymous platform, forum, and app on the planet? It's just a fucking insane demand. And even if they did somehow monitor it, wtf are they supposed to do about it when somebody anonymously says something "mean"?
