"..they were charged with attempting to smuggle pills of captagon, an amphetamine allegedly widely used among fighters in the Middle East." So was this shipment intended for ISIS?

This is just bullshit Russian propaganda, since Saudi Arabia is an ally of the glorious democratic USA, they cannot have done anything wrong. ISIS totally gets all its funding, weapons, vehicles, support from genies they found in lamps, the Saudis have nothing to do with this. /s

Saudi royalty is treated with softer kid gloves than our political families. It's like a kid who gets everything he wants.

It's literally like that, in fact.

What you don't understand is the political and financial power of the Saudi royal family.

Is this the same prince that jumped shipped out of LA for racing around the neighborhood and raping the staff?

No, you're getting your 'Saudi Princes Gone Wild' stories mixed up. There are tons of these princes. This guy sounds like he's trying to get amphetamines for his ISIS buddies.

There are a lot of Saudi princes. Ibn Saud, the first king of Saudi Arabia, had like 20 wives who birthed may sons. His and their male descendants are perhaps the modern Saudi princes. Hm, Wikipeida says there are perhaps 15,000 persons in all but 2,000 are powerful.

Captagon, the trademark name for the synthetic stimulant fenethylline, was first produced in the 1960s to treat hyperactivity, narcolepsy and depression, but was banned in most countries by the 1980s as too addictive. It remains hugely popular in the Middle East; Saudi Arabia alone seizes some 55m tablets a year, perhaps 10% of the total thought to be smuggled into the kingdom. The drug is cheap and simple to produce, using ingredients that are easy and often legal to obtain, yet sells for up to $20 a tablet.

Drugs?! So, public beheading then, right?

[–] Kaizervonmaanen 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Public beheading is only for sale of drugs, not if it's for personal use. Just a few tons is probably personal use :P. Also, sharia don't apply to the royalty of saudi arabia, it is SUPPOSED to according to the Quran and Sunnah, but it's not in practice. They have alcohol fueled gay parties all the time.
