Jorge Bergoglio (a.k.a Pope Francis) is nothing more than an old man who claims to have magical super powers and claims to know that the universe was created by magic and that talking donkeys are real (Numbers 22:28) and that raging bigotry against woman and homosexuals is justified.
Sure, the Pope's "authority" is respected in Africa, but perhaps the civilized world should make decisions based on rational and informed reason rather than the raging bigotry of a man who believes in talking donkeys (Num 22:28) and Christian bird blood magical potions (Lev 14)?

Cool old testament references, bro. The Catholic church has already accepted evolution. Also, Catholics don't believe in biblical literal-ism, which is what you are referring to. That is a relatively new phenomenon that sprung up with the protestant movements in America. And all the other christians think they are crazy.
Also, it is well know that the Catholic church has been against same sex marriage, so this isn't a surprise. But from a secular sense, Kim Davis is a practitioner of civil disobedience, which is an important tool for protesters (see civil rights movement). I might disagree with her message or purpose, but her method should not be criticized. Picking and choosing who can protest, how they can protest, and for what is a slippery slope I'd rather not go down.

I agree with your main point that she has the right to protest but we also have the right to criticize her and the belief that she cites is the reason for her protest. The westboro baptist church also has the right to protest and also are a bunch of bigoted jackasses.
I think citing old testament references to make their beliefs sound ridiculous is a legitimate move if they are using the old testament references to justify their bigotry.
