Yeah, no shit. They also have to meet lower physical fitness standards because women are physically weaker than men. Not sexist, just a biological fact.

Biology and evolution are obviously sexist.

It's weird. I was never an athletic guy, never worked out a day in my life or played any sports before I joined the military. As soon as I got to basic, during the first PT session, I was so much faster than most of the girls there. I was always the slowest of the guys at first, but I outran the girls there no problem. I just don't see how people can get offended by something that's so obviously true.

Call a spade a spade. Men were built to hunt and fight, to be aggressive, women were built to raise the children and tend to the soul. We've created a world where we're no longer bound by gender roles, but there are simply some tasks that men are better equipped to handle.

People need to understand that the limitations of their bodies cannot be overcome by will and desire alone, and there are upper limits to what you can do that simply cannot be denied.

Create a combat battalion of women. Train them and outfit them to specialize THEIR skill sets, their abilities. But don't expect them to be able to bench press the same as a guy who's two feet taller and a hundred pounds heavier, because physics doesn't give a fuck about your gender.

Interesting. So when it comes to dragging a wounded fellow ranger out of a firefight, do they magically reduce in mass to accommodate that women are weaker than men, or do they both just die due to their physical inability to do the required job?

[–] ChokingHazard 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Yes, that "magic reduction" in mass is called blood loss

They don't have to meet lower requirements, current policy simply makes it that way. The right way to do it is to have the same requirements for everyone.

Would that exclude a lot of women? Sure, but it also excludes a lot of men. The goal here isn't to establish a hugbox, it's to create an elite group to lead the way. They are supposed to be the best, examplars and leaders, and it's disappointing to see the definition of what that constitutes arbitrarily reduced.
