He looks and acts like a psychopath, this guy has probably done shit a lot worse than this and he will do a lot worse in the future. Keeping an eye on him out of interest. I'm pretty excited xd

There should be a list of psychopaths hat the public needs to be aware of. And not some political statement kind like [insert president here] because he did [insert hyperbole here]. I mean a real, legitimate, safety list. Put him on it.

The fucking Brand New shirt. The Eminem lyrics. I'm not one for violent revolution, but some angry mob needs to tear him apart.

In the old world, people like these were hanged by the villagers just before lunch.

He'll probably be plenty rich enough to cushion himself from any harm. The rich don't really have problems they can't just throw money at to make go away :/

Cool Enjoy your couple years of profit until someone makes a generic and undercuts your predatory pricing and puts you out of business.

Like it matters, this fuckstick will still squeeze a few million out of dying people and then sell off the rights as soon as the competition shows up.

Perfect candidate for a good old fashioned immolation if you ask me.

Generics only pop up when there's a demand for them. Until now the drug was cheap enough that no one saw any profit in making a generic.

From what I understand, this drug was the generic version, he just bought the rights to it. Since another generic would still have to be licensed through the FDA, he's got a year or two before he's threatened by another drug.

In one of his interviews he mentioned that that is exactly what he wants to happen. Other companies making a similar product but for a lot cheaper. In the end as business stand point, if he wanted to get rid if he were to double or tripple the price all would be fine and he would cash in so much money. So why does he do this, now people will buy the product less? He also said he would give it away to people who cant pay for it, for free?

I am not sure if his actions are greedy or if there is some sort of plan behind it. I do find it strange that we are still relying on a 70 year old medicine though. Really dont we have anything better?

Oh it's a punkass kid! I had this crotchety old wrinkly piece of shit stuck in my head, all Scrooge McDuck like, kicking orphans and reading one of those ticker-tape stock things in his den.

But it's just some shitty twenty something with a smarmy smirk? Of course it is. Of course. Eminem lyrics, yeah, you're... you're something cool there twerp, pretty cool. Now that he's getting a lot of press, someone is going to smack him in the mouth. And I'll smile when the news link hits the front page, and I won't even bother reading about it because fuck him.

Nah, the worst offenders for corrupt shit nowadays will be the younger generation brought up by those crotchety pieces of shit. They've been taught that their forefathers could rape the economy as much as they did... so now they have to do it better.

Here in Chile pharamacy executives were convicted of price fixing. But they did not go to jail, because that was not illegal at the time.

Now insurance pays for healthcare but not medicine. The law says that pharmacies must carry generic drugs. But there is no profit in that so the labs, some of them swiss and the rest owned by the pharmacies, simply do not make the generic ones. Walgreens the American firm has bought into the market here. But so far they have changed nothing and there is corruption. People who make $400 per month sometimes spend $300 on medicine for their kids

It's kind of surprising pissing off large numbers of people with almost nothing to lose doesn't lead to that.

Even more surprising given that trolling SJWs/fatties/redditors can cause people to doxx you, get you fired etc.

Pleb comics got doxxed and fired. Nichole Arbour got fired. And yet increasing the price of medication by an enormous percentage and quoting rap lyrics has no effect on your life at all.

A ... friend ... trolled reddit's amateur historians and had drunken teenagers call him and spout memes.

Well, it's large numbers of people that are often very sick. No matter the rage, if they can't get out of bed, they're still helpless. Which makes the whole thing far more despicable, and the caveats about making scientists rich in the article means the academic community likely won't get upset about it on the behalf of the sick people. It's really up to news organizations to inform the common man if this heinous deed, and shine the spotlight on that horrible man.

Which is unfortunate, as a lot of news organizations generate a LOT of their ad revenue from pharmaceutical companies, so they won't want to step on any toes.

So I guess it's up to people like us to lambast this monster on social media and try to make this go viral.

If the relatives of someone who died because they couldn't afford the drug murdered this guy and I was on the jury at their trial I think I'd go for a jury nullification.

Little piece of shit.

Would fit perfectly in /v/PunchableFaces

Edit: and lol, the guy is under investigation for frauds and other shits

The suit points out that Shkreli was accused in December 2013 of threatening a former MSMB employee and his family on social media and in written letters.

“I hope to see you and your four children homeless and will do whatever I can to assure this,” the former employee Timothy Pierotti, claimed his old boss had written in a letter to his wife.

What an admirable young man.

That source is written by someone who doesnt have an understanding of the law. Sure, a lot of what he did makes him a cunt but there is no fraud yet - someone just ran and told mom he committed fraud. From the article, it looks like he wasnt even charged.

Its easy to carefully word these things to make it sound a lot worse than it is. He fucked some people and now theyre throwing a tantrum. Time will show if theyre in the right.
