Joke's on all ya'll. My next major purchase is a vasectomy. America's next generation can enjoy the slow descent into our favorite documentary, "Idiocracy".

So youre contributing to Idiocracy by being one of the responsible, ethical people to not reproduce? Bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Im doing the opposite and not buying it that I shouldnt have kids. The world will need more bright, well-raised kids.

I got snipped last summer, right before turning 30. I just sit back and smirk at the people ruining the future because I don't have to worry about children / grandchildren having a shitty life as a result of other's stupidity.

I always thought about Idiocracy being so dishonest depicting whites as the group overproducing. If you look at the actual growth rates in this country its blacks and mexicans overproducing by massive margins and also the same ones contributing to the majority of the violent crime and urban blight. But I guess its just too easy to insult middle america.

I feel like Mike Judge definitely knew this but couldn't put the truth in his movie because of the lesbian jewish mafia media

Yeah also in 1973 people were happy to live in much smaller homes, they were happy with one car per family and didn't spend money on shit they didn't need. When something broke, it got fixed. Kids played outside in nature for free, they didn't need "entertainment".

We've also been tricked into becoming over-consuming addicts.

this is literally what every single generation says. There will be new jobs in 20 years that we can't even fathom right now, like its always been. Sure it will be eve more different because of automation and robotics, but they will always be there as our technology and knowledge progress.

edit: instead of down voting just tell me why I'm wrong? I thought that was what put voat apart from reddit.

Because they don't want to accept responsibility for their poor choices, hence the crying and mashing the downvote button.

Free trade- everyone will benefit
Supply-side economics- benefits will trickle down
Bank consolidation- will improve banking.
Lower taxes for the rich- ??
Wars lots of them- we need to protect the world
Big Black budgets for the alphabet agencies- They will protect us.
Out of control spending - Don't worry we will just borrow money from social security
Pension reform- These are over funded. You don't need the excess.
More Visa for foreign workers- Not enough workers in US have the skills we need.

Politicians fucked us good.

You just need to yourself up by your bootstraps. Back in my day when I graduated highschool I bought my first house off working 5 hours a week at a gas station. You kids today are so lazy /s

Our parents generation were the biggest group of flag waving complacent sheep that have ever existed. You literally hear NOTHING smart come out of their indoctrinated mouths.

Only reason things are changing is our generation is in its thirties and starting to come into our own.

FUCK AMERICA. Love the county, people, hate the flag and government, it means nothing. It's false worship to you Christians reading this.

And things cost more today. Go figure that one out!

A small bottle of salad dressing cost more than a gallon of gas!

I think "Temp to Hire" is reflective of how corporations, as an overall culture, see white-collar workers as disposable. This used to not be the case a few decades ago.

[–] TruthSemen 0 points 10 points (+10|-0) ago  (edited ago)

It prevents a lot of bad hiring mistakes

Sounds like your company needs to reform its interview practices, rather than turn prospective employees into commodities and gladiators. Besides, it's a non-solution to a problem that has historically been solved through firing (and learning how to make smart hires in the first place). Temp-to-hire simply places that burden on the workers, which is fucked up.

Where I'm working, it's pretty clear that the practice is this:

Hire a shitload of temp employees, if times are slow, lay off mostly full-time employees, because they cost more, but lay off a few contract employees to make it look good. Then, when it gets busy, transition a few temps to full employees, hire a shitload more temps, and then lay off the full-times when it gets slow again.

It's fucked.

To clarify, "temp to hire" is different from exploiting in-sourcing, yet they are marketed as equals.

The difference in a gold currency and a debt based one is that when debt money goes missing the regulators shrug and say "it's an inherent risk of the system" but when gold based money goes missing the public shrugs and says "I guess we're going to have to kill you then."

Don't forget the 1965 Immigration act https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_Nationality_Act_of_1965 that stopped us from keeping the United States European. Also the war on poverty destroyed the black community and turned us into a welfare state.
