As if it really matters. They are too big to fail and don't have to worry. They'll get bailed out if things become a problem.

This is more true than people think.
America will never let GM die. They'd let Chevy and Ford go down the tubes before they'd ever let GM fail.

You mean Chrysler, not Chevy, right?

Chevy is GM.

I'd kidnap a thousand children before I let this company die.

I think GM would go out before Ford. Ford didn't take the bail out, I would believe they are entitled to one.

Toyota and Honda, Best Car Makers.... There are a few new guys, but the reliability history isn't there yet.

A penalty equal to less than half the company's 2014 earnings in exchange for having all charges dropped relating to intentional negligence that killed at least 124 of its customers (likely more). Good work, DOJ! That'll teach 'em.

Bad guy robs bank, steals $10,000, kills 10 people.
Pays back $5,000 and is free to go.
The "justice" system.

If 100 people died because of this flaw, why was there no criminal charges against the people who let the faulty part come out ? I thought that the U.S. had law against involuntary manslaughter too ?

Corporations are people, but only when being people is good for them.

In the article they only have it narrowed down to two people by job description, and also it is more difficult to do, not that they aren't trying.

i don't understand is a corporation is a person why can't we put a corporation in jail it committed a crime. A person in jail has no freedoms. The company should not be able to do business for whatever amount of time a human would have to serve or in this case 100 life sentences.

Another reason to buy Ford
