I know this will not slow the circlejerk, but here is a bit of evidence that a country, Germany in this case, can show national compassion and support regarding a humanitarian crisis while still keeping the fringe elements in check.

Though the government needs to do a bit more. Most refugees are coming from a closed society of different standards. A society where most people think they are "right" and everyone around them should act the same way. They might not be suited for an open society right away, some sort of integration program/courses are needed but I don't hear about any. Mostly volunteers working with the refugees. I hope that will give the refugees enough exposure about the society they are coming into.

Reeducation camps. How wonderful... Will never support such. Just hold people to reasonable laws. It's that simple.

The Sharia Police cropped up last year before the migrant crisis was front page news; if anyone involved was an immigrant, they've probably been in Germany for years. There's no connection between that and the ability to keep a large number of people from a very different culture in check.
