HAH, fuck it! At this point, jump right in.

Good luck, John McAfee! The race is already a circus, why not add another attraction.

He could easily be the main attraction.

Goddamn, he almost has the same kind of eccentricity as Jeff Goldblum. In the introduction the similarities are almost uncanny.

Please! Nothing could shine a brighter light on the absurdity of the current bread & circus than a reality TV show host & killer/pedophile/drug-addict running against each other for the presidential nomination.

John McAfee, the antivirus software magnate who fled Belize after police tried to question him for murder...

I thought you fled to Belize for murder. I'm so confused, and why the fuck can't I uninstall McAfee.

He would actually reform a lot of things that are deemed "untouchable" for those who are only worried about their bank accounts and their political standing.

Haha I do too. I read his life story a while ago and its pretty interesting. He definitely would do better by the people than the scumbags we have had in office lately.

As I'm sure you know but ignored for the sake of a joke. John McAfee has had nothing to do with the software in a long time and has actively spoken out about how shit it has gotten.

The video is hilarious. Would not vote for this guy however if I was American. Many of his opinions are highly questionable.

Edit: Guys, relax. No need to downvoat just because you disagree with me. This is my opinion and you can, or should, get informed about his stance and judge for yourselves.

What are you talking about? Why is this a joke? Is it better when DC is filled with nothing but lawyers that were too shitty to make a living at it?

He's a successful businessman who's extremely well informed. What part of that is a joke? The fact that you fear people who made their money legitimately and not with the force of the government behind them?

Try reading stuff that he wrote and looking at his interviews, hell even take a look at his reddit ama. He does not come off as a stable individual, more like a crazy uncle who cooks meth with no protective gear.

He's a successful businessman

I wouldn't even call him a businessman; DC has enough of those as well. He is a highly technical privacy advocate.

It's pretty funny that you consider someone who claims to have not known what xanax does before being busted driving under the influence of it extremely well informed. I mean, if he's telling the truth that's pretty fucking stupid. If he's lying, well that's also not terribly flattering for a presidential candidate.

"I just got a new prescription for Xanax and one pill felt good. Two seemed better. The shootout was nothing remarkable. No-one was hit.… Yes, I was arrested while under the influence of Xanax. It was a brand new prescription received the same day of the arrest (see photo) and the physician neglected to warn me about driving while taking it. As to the weapons, I always carry them and, unless one is impaired, they are legal to possess and carry."

While we're speaking, people are spying on teen girls.

Our best presidents were never career politicians. Career politicians are the problem. It reminds me of Plato's Socrates and the politicians of those days. They don't care about what is right, they simply know how to win an election.

[–] peacegnome 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago  (edited ago)

He would be infinitely better than any president that we have had since carter, and probably before that. Our law makers are making decisions that are completely out of touch with everything in modern society and we need to start being like some other countries who elect engineers, programmers, and other knowledgeable people (no, lawyers, businessmen, and constitutional law professors don't count, they are the problem).

Anyway, I'm just saying the US is such a joke, and McAfee would be a step in the right direction.

I guess Trump is kind of the anti-PC candidate, I really hope that it can be a viable election strategy. McAfee would be 100x less PC than trump, but it is still good to see people turning on PC talk.
