I'm not familiar with Bill Gertz, but I got a definite pro NSA leaning in his report:

Snowden, currently under temporary asylum in Russia, has sought to expose what he and other critics assert has been illegal electronic surveillance by NSA.

.....However, most of the disclosures of the Snowden documents are not related to domestic U.S. surveillance, but foreign intelligence activities by the Fort Meade, Maryland-based spy agency.

I suppose I only just left the echo chamber so am unaware, but are there actually people for warrantless wiretapping of American citizens? I can't currently fathom that perspective, anyone wanna enlighten me?

there are plenty of people in the 'if you got nothing to hide, you got nothing to worry' camp and 'i don't care whom they spy on if it's for the childrenz' camp

I'd be very interested in, if you have them lying around, those links about the 25 or so people with top-tier access. Sounds like excellent reading.

Does this make it more clear that the NSA was behind this blockbuster happening, and Kaspersky was right? For shame -- I hope you're listening.
