People get thrown in jail for contempt of court all the time. The precedent is there already. It is a bad one, but that ship has sailed. I'd love to see the ability of judges to throw people in jail indefinitely removed completely, but until then, it's just how contempt of court is done. The reason she isn't in jail is because the people above her support her, so it has to follow the federal judicial process.
