As an Icelander I have taken the liberty translate what one of th Pirate Party's MP has to say about the matter. This is the position of mist Icelander's, myself included.

People who want to bring out their will by violence often uses individually cherry picked selected passages from religious books to justify their excesses.

The Islamic state is the obvious example. Regime where, just as in other violent extremist people, is fascist; governing by violence.

In Syria, just and Iraqi people have both unwillingly and willing joined the Islamic state. "The state" has welcomed those extremist people.

Those, however, that are now escaping their homes in Syria are mainly religious people that reject violent religious fundamentalism.

In other religions, just as in Christianity it is the religious people who reject violent religious fundamentalism that holds sacred the peaceful and loving religious books and keeps the extremes and their advocate in check.

People who want to avoid fascism will make our society's prosper.

In theory that would work, in reality, ISIS is sending these "refugees" as another jihad. The biggest threat to most countries these days is mass migration. ISIS will displace all these people, which will collapse TWO countries. The one they left, and the one where they're going.

I'm not racist, and I don't hate Muslims... But you guys gotta figure this shit out on your own. The proof is in the pudding that the conflict resolution strategies of those trying to get in aren't the best.

Shut your doors. Do it before its too late!

Or accept the females and children only. Middle eastern men are easily the worst kind of men.

Remember (before it's too late): these people only object to the extremism when it's being used against them. The majority of muslims fully support the actions that ISIS and their ilk do as long as it's done to the right people (like Christian and Atheist Europeans).

You have been warned.

Wow. How sadly ignorant of Islam. When policy makers make deductions that all people believe in peace then they need to define what that "peace" means.

In Islam, the peace is about total submission to the directives in the Koran. Peace can be killing infidels, killing apostates, what ever so long as it is true to the religion.

You have to stop these people from coming or you will lose EVERYTHING.

You want to help Syrian refugees? So do I. I want the EU to set up a agreement with an Islamic country to feed and house these people until that conflict is over.

That is the solution, not mass suicide but this method of mass immigration. And the price would be a tiny fraction of what it will not prove to be.
