She'll back out citing medical reasons before it ever gets that far. Remember a few years ago when she fell and busted her head and there were lingering neurological problems? I'd expect that issue to reappear before her ever allowing herself to face the sort of public humiliation that would result from her being barred from office. Consequences are for normal people, after all. This is the sort of thing that the White House could have quietly put to bed if the administration wanted, but there's no love lost between the present administration and the Clintons. It will go on until she goes away or is put away, and Biden will get the President's backing, connections, and fundraising channels. Maybe the investigation goes away after the Clinton Foundation writes a very large check to Biden's super-PAC and she endorses the VP's run for office.

Obama selected Biden to be his VP for some reason and then stuck with him during his reelection despite his (Biden's) tendency to stick his foot in his mouth and generally act like the creepy uncle nobody likes to acknowledge. A Biden presidency, from a policy standpoint, would effectively be a third term for Obama (a man young and driven enough to not want to retire and stay out of politics after leaving office) and could arguably push the desired agenda further in four years than the Obama managed in eight (no question about birthplace, none of the underlying racism, no questions about experience in government, etc.). If Biden runs, I'd expect that he would get the President's very public endorsement along with his war chest of unspent donations, his donors, the super-PACs, his support personnel, and the technical back office that's been groomed and grown for the last ten years. It's a prepackaged machine just waiting for the "right" face and an opening.

Biden will be yet another establishment lackey, so I can see the hand off happening. He's in the warm up pen as this is going on now. The 1%'s puppet show is so predictable.

They treated her for a blood clot in the head. Isn't that normally called a stroke?

Meh the same thing happens to normal people too. Employee does something horrible and is asked to resign instead of being fired.

We will all know the real reason.

Yeah, but the 'quit or be fired' thing usually doesn't carry the threat of prison time.
