This line of BS is really getting old.

Fact: take the jobs away and they'll still come for the handouts.

Fact: illegal immigrants are knowingly breaking the law and deserve to be held personally accountable for it.

It's interesting you state that as a rebuttal to him saying immigrants wouldn't be a problem if people didn't hire them. Then you come in and say that they take jobs away. I don't know how you aren't getting this but if companies didn't hire immigrants then they WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO TAKE JOBS AWAY.

EDIT: I misread but seriously, how would they come for handouts if they don't even have a job here? Contrary to what you hear on the news, getting welfare assistance isn't easy and you have to provide so much documentation it's ridiculous. Illegal immigrants without jobs here are not getting "handouts."

You're full of shit, mate. I live in El Paso and let me tell you that most illegals here are getting foodstamps and other sorts of welfare, even when they're living in fucking Mexico. To top it off, most don't pay taxes. There's even businesses here that will guide you through cheating the system to avoid getting taxed.

Then again, can you really blame them? Those few that actually follow the law are doomed to live in poverty. Those who cheat the system get the opportunity to move towards the top while the honest people get fucked over.

El Paso is a city full of cheaters and those who actually stay are either too poor to leave or have no ambition, just a desire to live off handouts.

That's the elephant on the room nobody is willing to address.

You can't just walk I to a country, walk up to the... I dunno, legislature building, and hold out your hands for rolled up wads of money. It's an incredible amount of bureaucratic red tape and misery you have to suffer through.

But nah, just easiest to say they're waltzing in and having money shoveled into their pockets. Blame the victim, not the system.

What country do they have voting rights?

[–] iDontShift 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

you really claiming that people with no power are responsible, while those that pay them aren't?

this line isn't bs, your line is.

Why can't you both be right? The immigrants are coming for the handouts and the jobs. Just because they might come just for the handouts doesn't change the fact that US companies are knowingly hiring them. We shouldn't give them a pass and let them continue contributing to this growing problem. I say deport or jail them all.
