The first republican debate drew a record 24 million viewers. Pretty good.

I guess Stewart would bring in the giggity crowd, if they have the night off from the Barnes&Noble snack shack.

Only because a former reality-show host was on stage the entire time. Which effectively proves the point that was being made in regards to Jon Stewart's ability to get high ratings.

Well, idk if Trump can claim all the credit. Plenty are interested in how this field will shake out. He certainly boosted the numbers.

But he was actually in the debate. What does it say about the debate if idiots tune in to slobber over the moderator? Stewart's not running. I think it would be extremely unprofessional to have him up there. I mean he's either a comedian or a serious figure, and we know which he's seen as. It would cast a tabloid quality over the debate and be a distraction, and if Trump's involved we'very already got that plus ratings.
