That must of been one filthy cloth after cleaning that server.

See, that's just one of the examples why I cannot fathom why people trust her. That one line, "what, like with a cloth or something? I don't even know how that works digitally at all." That alone says a great deal about the depths she'll dig this hole she's in, rather than face the consequences of what appear to be deliberate, calculated efforts to expunge Hillary Clinton's name from criminal activities. Here she is admitting that, as Secretary of State of the Untied f***ing States of America from 2009-2013, does not know what it means to "wipe" a computer server and is woefully out of touch with modern technology; or that she's lying about her actions or the actions carried out by people she's undoubtedly called "the help" before.

So far her staff and she herself have admitted to deleting over 30k emails, because they were "personal" in nature, but as she ought to know from being present during the Nixon years, when you're running for the presidency of the United States you cannot claim to be above the law. If it can be deduced that her husband was getting a hummer from an intern, and have that be blown out of proportion (haha.... blown.) then it can sure as shit be investigated what the hell was so secret about those 30,000 emails! Clinton is a sinking ship now - the more people learn about her, the less and less they trust her.

Even my MOM who was a HUGE Hilary fan came up to me yesterday and out of the blue said "How do you feel about Bernie Sanders?" EEEP! She then told me she doesn't think she can trust Hillary because of this. Her reasoning was, if she can't even handle her records or hire someone who can, how is she expected to hire a competent cabinet.

Technically speaking the fact that her husband got a blowjob wasn't the issue; the issue was he lied to Congress.

And that's a big no-no.

(I leave aside for the moment the annoyance that they feel free to lie to others all the time.)

Indeed. In this case the coverup is likely not worse than the crime.

Which is bullshit to be quite frank.

No backup?? Bullshit - there is always a backup. If not her servers, then the servers that received the email, handled the email, the webhosting company that actually houses the mail handlers, there are likely tapes, or flash drives, or some other media with backups. Being in IT, we don't take a shit without a backup. If the first toilet breaks, there better be a second one, or there will be shit all over the place, and in this case, there will be shit all over the place. They will keep finding more and more as time goes on.

Ask the NSA for their copy...

[–] realpatrickstewart 0 points 10 points (+10|-0) ago  (edited ago)

I actually did a FOIA request to the NSA when her mail server first hit the news. Just out of curiosity because it's your legal right to file them.

They sent me a 3 page letter that basically said "Go fuck yourself, peon."

I bet you money if I had the cash to start a lawsuit like Gawker did, they would have gave me something.

[–] Running_Bear23 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

See, I'd love to be able to FOIA all my own data. Use the NSA as a free backup service.

And that'll get swept under a convenient rug. No one is going to push the issue with her. I'll happily eat my words if it happens (if it does, it'll be a political move by someone with some fairly staunch, wealthy backing), but I can't see it happening.

There's gotta be a front end firewall with a message log. I wouldn't think her server would sit on the internet.

[–] Coroner 5 points -3 points (+2|-5) ago

It's been reported on many times, but the emails were backed up, the back up is on Clinton's new server. The old hardware had everything deleted off it. This article including the discussion here is fucking garbage. Instead of asking about the old fucking server, why not ask Clinton if the files still exist on the new server. But I guess that doesn't translate well to a 5 second sound bite and a catchy headline.

The truth is, this isn't the scandal you want it to be. And when the truth comes out, you will like bigger idiots than you already do.

[–] flimflamedthezimzam 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

I once upon a time thought she was ok because Bill was a reasonable president in comparison to the back to back Bush Eiffel Tower we received. Then she ran for the primaries in 2007 and I found out the only time she was opposed to the Patriot Act was because she didn't think it went far enough and she supported the war. Her husband might have been slightly cool, but that doesn't make her any less of an authoritarian Dolores Umbridge piece of shit once I got to know her.

I never really liked her after what she did to New York, there were people who specifically voted for her just because she was a woman....

Eh, Bernie doesn't seem like a criminal. I don't even agree with his politics (I'm a slightly right leaning moderate). But I'd still take a guy I thought I could trust over someone who professed to be of my political bent that I KNOW is a fucking liar.
