Big City Americans is a more proper term. Granted, I'm more left than I am right myself (mostly centrist really) but living in a big metro is like this all over the country (I used to live in LA, now I live near SF).

The same new yorkers that scream about the south having a racism problem while NY police kill black kids in the street, under the guise of stop and frisk laws that let them target minorities. It's a city that is segregated by race, nationality and income, and ruled by literal force. The fact that there isn't blood in the gutters just means no one has stepped far enough out of line.
