Finally, someone standing up for the constituents.

I'm kinda surprised Sherrod Brown did this. He's my Senator and I can tell you while he's a pretty big progressive champion, he's notorious on buckling to the will of the establishment's big agenda items.

Why not email him and give him some props for this stance?

"But the review comes with conditions: the aides must have security clearances, and they may not view the documents unless a member of Congress joins them.

Since Congress members are busy, that makes it tough for aides to spend considerable amounts of time fully reading and understanding details of the pending deal, Brown says. Worse, says the Ohio Democrat, private-sector executives and lobbyists from certain industries, from pharmaceuticals to textiles to finance, have better access because the Obama administration has included them in its TPP consultations.

Brown: "This deal could affect more the 40 percent of our global economy, but even seasoned policy advisors with the requisite security clearance can't review text without being accompanied by a member of Congress."

This is what Assange said about the way in which EU parlamentarians can read the TTIP. Seems even more ridiculous than the way in which the TPP can be read.

These agreements need to be stopped. Here's a video that explains why the TPP, TTIP, TISA are so important to the USA. It's terrifying to think these agreements could go through and become law.

Typical of the sell outs running Ohio. These are little people beholden to big people.

Ah! My error.

Go get 'em Brownie!

I'll start posting this idea in several threads but can we get a Senator website where every single one is rated and discussed upon and can become an easy place to see what their policies are.

There are actually several senators that never agree with TPP and NSA and stuff but I need someplace to also memorize the scum like Sherrod Brown.

Why is Mister Brown scum? I think you got that wrong. What he did was actually a good thing. Did you read the article?

Oh shit, you're right. The title was misleading me. I thought the nominee was protesting, not the Senator.

Mistakes aside, I think that's a great idea. I use Ballotpedia when I'm looking at state propositions to vote on because it's more informative and, unlike the voter guide sent to my house, informs you of who's putting money into each side. It's more encyclopedic than customer review but it gets into great detail about well-known politicians, including stances and voting records.

Thank you so much. This helps a lot.
