We need someone to take a stand or the corruption is only going to get worse. We need a rebellion. We need a protest, but nobody's willing to get up off their fat asses. Honestly, I would voluntarily go to a protest and try and spread the word about one.

Where would the most appropriate place to assemble for a protest about this be? DI you have a bullhorn you can bring? We'll have to so this on a weekend if we can, I have classes starting Monday.

I think you could get a good number of people to protest, but they want to have a pretty good idea that they would win first. What would you protest for? Getting Hillary charged for any wrong doing she has done? Or just against corruption in general? If the latter, you need to find legislation to back, get some legislation drafted, or get someone sued in court. The protest needs to be a call to action to draw attention to an issue and get something done in politics. Otherwise, you're just protesting an idea.

When she has to drop out of the presidential race because she's being trucked off to prison, I'll have hope for our judicial system, and country, again. It won't happen of course. Prison isn't for the nobility, "they wouldn't fair well in the environment"

If they want the emails they can just ask the NSA, or the Chinese and Russians.

At this point they would have an easier time doing this then getting them from the Clintons.

I assume that we are hacking the Chinese and Russians so we shouldn't have to ask.

I wonder if, right now, Obama and the Republicans are striking a deal whereby Obama will provide them the emails and in return they'll let his Iran deal pass. Obama can't run for another term so they would have no reason to back-stab each other. Could actually work.

The corruption displayed by the United States federal government is nauseating. How can you sit back and do nothing about the improper conduct regarding top secret government material hosted privately, or the cover up and coincidental obstruction of an investigation, when she was one of the highest ranking public officials? Instead of abusing power to get off scott-free, our leaders must be held to higher standards than the average citizen. General Petraeus had his career crushed for less than what Hillary is currently getting away with. I haven't even said anything about how the #blacklivesmatter movement is being used against Clinton's Democrat competitors, when its top funder has vouched support for her, or how she has a key supporter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade deal which would've eroded our power to multi-national corporations and foreign interests, a trade deal negotiated in secret. The only way her campaign can be ended is if the people overwhelmingly voice their dismay and anger over her blatant corruption. The status quo cannot remain so, not with the looming threat of global warming.

The point when that happens in the United States, it'll be far too late for change. The two degree Celsius line that has widely regarded by those in government pushing reduced emissions as the world's safety limit is potentially rather dangerous. There is a possibility that we could experience several meters of rapid sea level rise this century, and this article helps put some perspective on Hansen's study. Eric Rignot is a co-author on the article and an expert on glaciers. He does believe some Antarctic glaciers are at a tipping point, but research is needed at every single one on that continent and at Greenland. If the glacier front is sitting on a ridge then that ridge prevents water from seeping further underneath the glacier. But if enough melting is occurring eventually at some point there will be a sudden breach of water past that ridge and thus you have very sudden sea level rise. IPCC projections assume linear change of melting, like a melting icecube, whereas in this idea change can be sudden and exponential. Hansen supports this because he has seen in the past sea level has risen in bursts of rapid change. As Gavin says it's not a prediction but a scenario and it depends on obtaining a lot more data yet to confirm local topographies of every single glacier, and presumably to monitor them. It may be very costly and thus the timing of this paper with Paris to get support for it. Mass extinction will be the inevitable result of our continuation to not make meaningful mass scale change. Failure to act could possibly create a mass refugee crisis worldwide on top of predicted megadroughts if we stay on our course, with no ports to ship food from the remaining arable land. We could very well be shackling ourselves into a living hell (worst case scenario). It's frightening to consider, so denial becomes a primary defense.

Its a travesty and I am ashamed for my nation because this kind of shit is allowed to go on. The people I speak to either don't know about any of this stuff or are too apathetic to care about the whole thing. This stuff is not in any newspaper or channel, people have to actively seek out real news, and most dont even bother. Most are aware that things are pretty shitty, but just dont give a crap and dont want to talk about it or make excuses such as 'things are worse everywhere else'. Its really disheartening.

If you're surprised by this you haven't been paying attention. This is the Obama playbook. Ignore, refuse to comply or investigate, scream that everything is partisan, play out the clock, and give fuck-all about the long term consequences, or the rule of law. It's happened with numerous investigations and numerous departments.

When a people see the the law no longer applies to those they elect, eventually the criminal class arises and attempts to use the social discourse to exact a certain change that is usually a detriment to the status quo and social hierarchy that has created a substantial disparity from the haves and have-nots, often this change is bad, or twisted to a means dictated by a few, in order to gain power, recall what happened with the Arab spring? OWS was a failed attempt, until enough of society finds themselves on the chopping block, they are apathetic, certain groups will of course seem to replace priors, blacklivesmatter is the new black racism movement/criminal group arising, similar to the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS, good people aren't as coordinated as those who in their hearts wish to be your and my master. Beware of those who seek approval of certain groups blessings and ultimately...power, for often they are not for the good of society, but for their own selfish means and ends.
