They just laid off a bunch of retail people because they're making a killing on online sales. Nike's doing great, as much as we all want them to fail.

What does this mean?:

These employees are currently at the Nike headquarters in Beaverton and are non-union.

You imply it's retail stores shifting to online stores, but that says headquarters.

Nike as a company is doing fine, that's why its stock price is healthy. But it's refocusing on more profitable business areas.
