Man that makes me angry. That Judge Pirro clips was great to watch though. Seeing someone talk it through step by step was fantastic and it's awesome that she sided with the guy.

no shit. my ex wife made up rape claims against me during the divorce so nobody would question her (lack of) fidelity and to extort and blackmail me throughout the entire divorce and custody proceedings. i had to hire a criminal defense attorney to coordinate with my family law attorney, sweating a "no knock" warrant being served by SWAT 24/7. We won out in the end, her lies and schemes unraveled. I was never indicted, no warrant issued, she lost primary custody and did not get her way in the divorce. Turns out my female attorneys, the female judge and the female mediator (prior judge) did NOT appreciate her making up shit like that, but she still got away with her claims... there was little to no legal recourse for me.

Edit: she made these allegations to leo's so i was actively being investigated. still threatened to "press charges" for months after, actually to this day she brings it up. doesn't understand why you don't get to press charges in criminal court, only that if she can razzledazzle the cops and a judge she can make someone go to prison for 15-25years and register for life.

You should also have the right to confront your accuser. Not only was this guy forced to submit his questions to a third party (the overseeing panel), they modified or refused to ask her any questions that they thought might cause her emotional distress.

Fascinating how his emotional distress didn't matter to them.

Indeed. How can a college withhold a judicial power that is above their state's? If the college didn't have a frail system for dealing with such things, then the current judicial system would have ruled fair and just. Maybe there needs to be a limit as to what a college can do with a so called "trial" as this.

Do you think the sjw/PC crowd cares? All that matters is that their feels are protected, not other people.

Civil Forfeiture -- where they 'charge' your property, not you...

Detention, too often culminating in death in prison without trial or even charges being filed...

Do college administrators really expect students to draw up consent papers, or film sex tapes? (Sadly, some activists do.)

I think just one Heh will do.

But seriously, this is good news. Sadly, this isn't happening more often. It's happening less often. More and more now, educational organisations are expelling male students and sentencing them guilty of rape/sexual-assault, because "that girl said so".

And you know why? It's simple. Because say they say to the girl, "no, you're being stupid. Please come back when you have an actual case. Go away please.", the girl will, say, run stories in all the local newspapers, and on every social media platform possible. She could run stories defaming the college, saying that it's full of "unconvicted rapists, pedophiles, and sexual-assaulters". And you know what? College's don't like that.

So they convict the male, and it's over and done with easily. They then can say "rapist/sexual-assaulter has been caught. Expelled". Media laps it up, society laps it up. Everyones basically happy.

Now I'm not saying every case is not legit. But heck, so damn many are full of absolute shit like this one. She gets drunk, makes bad decisions, and then attempts to ruin a guys life as revenge. I mean, lolwut?

Moral of the story is don't get super crazy ultra wasted.

Heck, they could have both been drunk, so she could have raped him. Hey, they could both be rapists. Hey, we could all be rapists together!

It applies differently to gay men, because of science...like...when two gay dudes are drunk and have sex it creates a consent paradox...we call it Schrodinger's buttsex.

The point is, unless it happened on their facilities educational institutions shouldn't convict anyone until he's been convicted by a law court .

If a girl tells a college that she's been raped they should transfer the case to the proper authorities.

And yet they often don't. They just expel the student and it's cleanly and easily over for them.

Article points out its going to take a lot more of these decisions in cases like this to end universities policy of guilty until proven innocent.

I'm betting when people start suing the shit out of them for it is what is going to really force change though.

Lawsuits are the ONLY thing that will make any changes. Universities are a business just like Walmart or Best Buy and just like them they don't really give a damn about things until they affect the bottom line. You want to see change? Start suing them any time you have the slightest case. Get loud and get mean and start airing the dirty laundry. Find out who contributes to the school, get in touch with their alumni organizations, put them all on blast. Most universities get a good portion of their funding from rich alums and third parties, and people like that don't like to lose money or have their name associated with something people vilify. The only way we will stop this bullshit is if we start bankrupting these glorified degree factories.

Lawsuits are a good start, but the Department of Education also needs to be cleaned out.

Universities aren't doing this for the lulz; the woman who lead this university's witch-hunt against this guy was hired so that the college's policies would comply with the DOE's infamous "Dear Colleagues" letter. Universities are between a rock (DOE) and a hard place (Title IX). The former needs to be removed as well.

If prostitution was legal maybe, if you could prove in court that the contract wasn't fulfilled.

Why I'll never use an "escort". The only ones I find attractive are way too expensive.

This whole allowing colleges to effectively hold mock sexual assault trials and kicking students out of school over them is absolutely absurd.

0
14

[–] BigBadWolf 0 points 14 points (+14|-0) ago

This. I don't understand why it's any of the college's business/problem. Why is this a thing in the US? Everywhere else if someone rapes someone then we call the police and jail them. We don't convene a board of university bureaucrats to decide whether to expel them or not. We only do that for people who are 1. In high school and 2. Not accused of anything more serious than generally being a dick.

If it's a rape, call the police and prosecute it in front of a jury.

It's because a distressingly high amount of people in these schools are basically there to have sex. The whole party and sex lifestyle is a big part of their business, and they'd rather deal with it in house than get the authorities involved.
