Fun fact :

ALL analog televisions in history convert the channel frequency to a thing callled "CHANNEL ONE".

For example... channel 2 is divided down to become Channel one, then decoded to screen.

For example... channel 6 is divided down to become Channel one, then decoded to screen.

IF A BROKEN ANALOG TV does not fully divide a frequency fully to "channel one" and instead creates harmonics that interfere with Wifi... then WIFI can indeed get messed up.

in 1946, Channel 1 TV was moved to 44–50 MHz, and is the internal band used by a receiver to downshift into. Internally used in TVs since 1948.

channels above channel 1 :

chances are they are watching a legacy UHF channel and it upshifted harmonics into a signal interfering with a repeater uplink to a wifi distribution network
