So, let's say Antifa took out 9 transformers, dropped the entire US (and part of Canada and Mexico) into the 1800's for a year and a half or longer. What's their encore?

Even if they managed to do it in less than 18 months, you think that people will cheer being in darkness for any prolongud period of time in the supposed #1 superpower on Earth? Or that any of the others wouldn't take advantage of it?
Doesn't matter what the Corp of Engineers can or can't do if we're balls deep in a revolution aided by our enemies. Reconstruction efforts don't exist in a bubble and people might not care to give the remnant of the U.S. Government a chance to fix it to begin with. People are stupid panicky creatures who will go with whoever promises them the most comfort.

Assuming ~200 dedicated >5MVA transformers built or aquired? And installed? Six months is very optimistic, but not completely out of the question if there is no logistical pressure and no shortage in specialists.m

You don't need to go anywhere near power plants to destroy the grid. High Voltage transformer sites are prime, and undefended targets. A 2014 congressional report stated that 30 of the HV sites nationwide were deemed to be in "Critical" need for repair. Another report stated that if only 9 of the stations in the U.S. are removed from service the entire nationwide grid would be down for at minimum 18 months, possibly longer. And an attack was carried out on a HV transformer in 2013 with a suspected 6 men that authorities estimate to be a "dry run" for a future operation.

Yeah. You can do a lot to fuck em up with out truly stepping foot there. But are you willing to give those antifa tards that much credit?

Antifa? Nah, the (((people))) holding their leash? Idk, maybe.
Main point I was trying to make is that hard target's like power plant's are for show, not security.

you think the army corp of engineers couldn't rebuild that, with the backing of any industries by the stafford act in less than a year and a half?
