This is daft. You want to measure, measure your blood oxygen. That's what counts.

No, I had the same thought. My job is making it mandatory for mask use & after going up some stairs I noticed I was winded. I have access to an impact pro & will try this too. While blood oxygen will give definite result of how much oxygen your body is absorbing this test is no different than measuring a suspected hazardous environment on the job.
If I wish to enter a room, at work, with less than 19.5 I have to be in SCBA.

sk sk skk skkiiiiiid to a stop and ask yourself some quetionettes?
When surgeons do operations, do they require extra oxygen? Are they known for keeling over and fainting?
What about nurses and such? Theyve been wearing these things for decades, but suddenly they're a deadly health hazard?
You adorably yankeedoos are funnies. A new coronavirus that's killed hundreds of thousands of people as it spreads like wildfire across the planet is no biggie, just flu bro. But the familiar old spit-stopper medics have been breathing through for decades is suddenly a fucking serial killer, and gonna gets ya! ooo!
Has anyone tickled your tummy before? Cos I'm sorta tempted...

So the OSHA standard is based on blood O2, and not the O2 that is available to breathe?

The OSHA standard is based on environmental conditions. Has nothing to do with dissolved O2 in your blood. For instance you need to go down into a manhole or other confined space, you need to have a meter with you to make sure O2 levels aren't too low. Gasses could drop down and displace the O2. Measuring inside the mask isn't really the same thing. I work in construction and the safety guy at our company is hardcore so we go through training on this stuff all the time.

The INSIDE of your mask is not what you measure. You want to measure the air outside it.
You want to know if it's affecting you? Measure your blood.
FINK about it. You cannot claim the mask is somehow killing you if your blood oxygen level is fine.
