They also banned the sub for Chapo Trap House--a well-known comedy podcast with a leftist bent--to make it seem like they were being politically neutral. The given reason? They claim the sub "promoted hate". It did. Of the 1%. Which is absolutely justified.

They also clarified that their policy on "promotion of hate" does not apply to "those in the majority". Apparently racism against white folks is 100% okay.

Soooooo, guess who's back? It's-a me, your (least?) favorite wop dago anarcho-transcendentalist!

But White people are a worldwide minority.

[–] cthulian_axioms 0 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago  (edited ago)

True! But that was not mentioned in their announcement. They also avoided questions to the effect of "What will you do if someone in South Africa says 'kill all the whites', since whites are a minority there?"

[–] chonkyjpg 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago  (edited ago)

A minority in the USA also for those under 16 years old.

[–] foltaisaprovenshill 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

ChapoKikeHouse also frequently called for the deaths of all whites and non-communists.

If any sub deserved a ban it was ChapoKikeHouse.

[–] dsallen7 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

ChapoTrapHouse did occasionally stumble on some uncomfortable truths: https://archive.is/vmxbR

[–] foltaisaprovenshill 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Notice they only care cause their beloved brown mudkikes were targeted.

[–] cthulian_axioms 1 point 2 points (+3|-1) ago  (edited ago)

The show itself has gone pretty far into Pizzagate shit, too. In fact, a couple of their regular guests started a spinoff show called TrueAnon speicifically to focus on those issues.

That, along with the uncomfortable takes they regularly had, was why the sub got banned. It was full of actual, militant lefties who didn't toe the Party line.

The people on chapotraphouse were cunts and communist.

[–] BrennKommando 0 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago

TIL he had a twitch account..

[–] jewer 0 points 1 point (+1|-0) ago  (edited ago)

I never knew either, he uses it as backup in case whitehouse.gov cannot handle load. Twitch is striking him to do a "third strick" in September, Just like Twitter did with Trump now giving TWO spurious twitter violation warnings to Trump.

A few years ago when I was still on reddit I remember them heavily censoring the number of upvotes for submissions to the_donald and would run bots to downvote everything until the numbers were low enough that the post wasn't hitting the front page of the site. Then when everyone caught on they simply removed the sub from being on the front page altogether so that you had to subscribe to it to even know it existed. The sub was so popular that it would dominate the front page and that made the mods very angry. Then they began censoring the number of members subscribed to the sub.

So today when they say there were 790k members the real number is likely 10x greater.

[–] Intrixina 0 points 1 point (+1|-0) ago

Then there was the algorithm fuckery where things were automatically set to a score of 0, and a change to their algorithm by accident led to an underflow error where every T_D post ended up on the front page.

[–] Sheeitpost 3 points 7 points (+10|-3) ago

Okay, Reddit should be nationalized. Freedom of speech applies to platforms. If they suppress that freedom of speech, they are anti-American and enemies of this country and should not be legally allowed to operate their platform anymore.

[–] selpai 0 points 20 points (+20|-0) ago

No. Reddit and other discriminating platforms should lose their section 230 protections. In discriminating between political speech, they become publishers, not free platforms.

[–] gattaca 1 point 3 points (+4|-1) ago

Reddit hq should be reaper droned with a couple of gbu-12's

Watch the rest of these commies run for cover shortly after. Just call it a training exercise accident.

This is definitely not election interference or anything.

[–] noob_tube 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I’m confident that Reddit could sway elections. We wouldn’t do it, of course. And I don’t know how many times we could get away with it. But, if we really wanted to, I’m sure Reddit could have swayed at least this election, this once.
