I'm not defending my goverment or the Turkish government I'm just saying that Assad isn't squeaky clean ether

"Assad is not exactly the Kurds biggest ally himself right."

In Syria, he is their best ally.

But if you are saying the the Alawites are enthusiastic about giving part of their country away to form a Kurdish autonomous region, that is obviously true but the Kurds DO have an accord with Assad.

Yes, Syria is a long ally of the USSR and now Russia. Assad is as squeaky clean as any Arab regime in the region can be! Are the Arab Iraqi Shiite leaders cleaner? Hell no yet we back them as does Iran.

Think about this. Assad is not a theocrat and does not want Sharia. That historical position of the Assad Regime is the only position that has any hope for re-establishing a secular system based on the rule of law.

The rebels? All of them to a man are Jihadis and religious maniacs.

Is Assad better then the Turks or ISIS probably, however those are not exactly high standards to top. What I'm saying is that the kurds (more specifically the YPG/YPJ) are better off remaining independent then siding with a lesser evil
