More or less good advice. I would say, everyone is always wrong, all the time if they do not actually have data. Once the data starts coming in you must re-evaluate your hypothesis and form a new opinion. Strictly based on the data. Not what you want. Not what you feel. Not what is convenient. Not what doesn't make you look dumb in retrospect.
