Of course they’re wrong, they’re wrong all the time. That’s what science is, the pursuit of truth, and in that search there are false positives.
But when they’re right and proven to be so by the scientific method, progress is made.
The computer and the network you’re using right now is built upon science. The food you eat, the car you drive, the electricity you use, the water you have access to, the house you’re living in - all the result of science my dude. Even your birth was aided by science.
But yeah, that’s totally the same as believing in an invisible sky man... /s
