I went to school and learned math prior to common core, however I learned how to input equations into a calculator as they are written to check my work. My answers still come out differently than what alot of the boomers get for answers to equations, but the graphing calculator is still saying I'm correct. While common core might not be correct, I do think alot of the older generation either forgot how to do math, or they proved their method of doing math was wrong and since changed how it was taught. That happens alot in mathematics. I repeat I learned math very well prior to common core so you cant blame that.
