Okay, So what does Emma Lazarus poem about immigrants coming to america legally Between 1820 and 1920 have to do with illegals coming in and making demands today. By the way, My grand parents carved there names on the walls of ellis island and there on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor. They come here legally, unlike those lazy latinos.

The "demands" they're making are for the opportunity to make better lives for themselves. If it was as easy now to get citizenship as it was then, we wouldn't have the "illegal immigrant" problems we have now. We would have law-abiding, tax-paying citizens like your grandparents (and my great-grandparents). It's the tough immigration laws that create illegal immigrants.

Edit: and it's that right there-- the "lazy latinos" thing, that creates the problems. That's just unabashed racism.

I just wish instead of coming here and abandoning their country they would stay and fight to change it to be a better place where they don't need to come here in droves fearing from the government and cartels. If all the hard working people who want to get ahead leave, all that is left are people who are with the criminals or people who don't care.

My wife come to the states 2 years ago, She had no problems with tough immigration laws. It's not the tough immigration laws that create illegal immigrants, It's criminals looking for the easy way.
