Is stopping this (or any) virus pandemic a good thing?
A pandemic kills many people, yes - and that is bad, but it also infects a lot of people that survive, adding the virus dna into the population.
After the pandemic subsides, the resultant children are then born with a new dna which includes the virus - giving a potentially greater resistance to it in the future.
I believe this happened with the Spanish Flu, and the resultant generations have an inborn resistance to it - which makes it much less dangerous.
Trying to cure/prevent/isolate the current outbreak could mean that a future outbreak (20-50 years) will be even worse, and with a more devastating strain of the virus.
