There's no amount of efficiency that makes these risks acceptable.
You don't understand, you have to make a viable plan to change the situation... They have efficiency, effectiveness and their currency and wages are low. Add to the fact the country is so huge(unable at the current time to enforce laws to 1.5+ billion people despite being a middle of the road country), and there's a huge incentive for workers to make fakes, or to do these things since they won't get caught that easily and the upside is huge.. Their manufacturing is probably 20x more capable when you look at the entirety of their manufacturing. So yeah, there is a reason everything in your house is made in China, and not from India, or vietnam.. despite those countries having LOWER wages than china.. so their clearly is a competitive advantage and ability the chinese have.
Not only that, but when it suits them, their government is perfectly happy to shut off the supply to the United States. There's no amount of efficiency that makes these risks acceptable.
I haven't seen them shut off anything to the usa. Money is money. I'd be interested in hearing where they may or have done this before.
But it's currently impossible to make most things in the usa... the companies can't compete with other companies that have manufacturing and distribution in China. China signed the trade deal with America but definitely are not and probably have not abided by the goods America demands them to buy since it's forceful. So again, china probably can get a better deal from food and agriculture from brazil, or india, or europe, canada. A country is a company, and America is a crumbling country, sad to say. We gotta develop high level trade skills and make high end goods to sell to the chinese middle class and upper middle class. To be manufacturers for our own companies and for chinese companies. Trying to compete in a place we are losers in, low end and mid end manufacturing.. is a losers mindset. Literally China, and south east asian, africa are going to eventually be winners in those areas. The clear move is to allow china to set up manufacturing in America and then have people work in those factories. And for local people to set it up themselves.
so their clearly is a competitive advantage and ability the chinese have.
It's all irrelevant when considering strategic value. It wouldn't matter if they could make the stuff for 1/100th the price.

Tariffs are an easy way to fix that.

Ha ha ha. Were you born jewish or something? Chinese owning strategic infrastructure in the United States? How about letting Iran own Israeli factories?

you think in the most idiotic way.. chinese corporations set up manufacturing in africa, vietnam, hk, taiwan... wherever.. so that bypasses that.. And they will buy up our manufacturing companies in america if the tariff is that high for that industry. Tarrifs are a band aid.. Germany sends most of it's people into trade schools. So they are great at... manufacturing, and high end labour. It's how a country can compete globally.
It's all irrelevant when considering strategic value. It wouldn't matter if they could make the stuff for 1/100th the price.
The company can't survive.. and the government can't afford to operate something at a loss like that.

strategic infrastructure is like .0001% of manufacturing. They are better at manufacturing, let them open up factories in america... do you know how many non-chinese people open up manufacturing and businesses in China... A LOT.. you really are a dolt.
How about letting Iran own Israeli factories?
Yes, why not? An iranian citizen setting up in israel? if its beneficial then sure. If it's confidencial type work, then no. But nearly no work is that.. we are talking about business! what makes the world tick!
