Shooting someone is not a reasonable response to having your car towed. This is bad for anyone for 2A and against the government. Burglary is covered under stand your ground, theft is not. He fucked up.
you can use lethal force against someone stealing your property if they entered your property illegally.
I think you meant "hearsay", which is a legal term and not applicable to non trial witness statements.
100% agree the footage will tell some of the tale.
if the tow truck driver is to be believed it's an interesting case of timing as the officer could have ordered the vehicle out of the tow at the expense of the company (vehicle code 323 (3)(a) if memory serves).
stand your ground doesn't work against law enforcement. that would be too legal. you know as well as I do you can't be legal, shoot a cop, and live a normal life after.

Regardless of your opinion.
edit : https://www.10news.com/news/national/shooter-who-killed-florida-trooper-was-angry-about-paying-tow-truck-driver-witnesses-say
witnesses apparently say he was angry at having to pay the tow and attempted to shoot the tow truck driver, gun jammed and driver left.
so... cop trying to steal his car? wrong.
