I'm pretty sure our mid 1980's white first graders would have done a better job than that.
This was obviously written by a nigger.

I'm wondering what's the bigger factor at play: the ship being steered by federal education regulation that is intended to dumb down generations of young people, or teachers as a result of feminism have developed such a victim mentality about their own vocation that our laxity with them is allowing them to get lazier and lazier with each passing year.
The degree to which you are challenging students correlates to the degree you are challenging yourself in the form of grading and actually engaging with your student's demonstrated thought processes; it seems as if their modus operandi is why do any more than what the state says is the bottom line, as long as you are going to get paid the same amount of money? This is why setting our standards to the least common nigger denominator is also contributing to the erosion of our education system. The standards you set for teaching the least accomplished/productive student will wind up being the standard applied to all students.
It's sort of like a microchosm of the Communist result, just at the level of elementary education and not the economy at large. It seems to always be this sort of situation with any centralized type of service. When things are a guarantee, like state revenues based on head count, and non-performance-based teacher pay, people don't perform. We just don't work this way. There needs to be incentivization based on performance. A private system is the only way to go, although, teachers won't like this because it will mean a natural hierarchy forms. The vast majority of teachers would see huge pay cuts, while the top performers in the top 20% would become big earners. And that's just not fair! Competition sucks balls sometimes, but it's always a better outcome for the group, just not half of the individuals.
