First Bill: "I did not have sex with that woman." Excuse: Define sex.

Now Hiliary: "I did not send nor receive anything that was classified at the time," Clinton said at a campaign stop in Iowa. Excuse: Define classified.

Weasel words.

Classified is a very well defined term in federal government.

Confidetial, Secret, Top Secret

All of which require safes and vaults and combinations and passwords and should never be sent over nonsecure lines.

Thought the same thing. Well if you aren't using a secure email, then the email would hardly be classified correct?? If she said "I did not send any classified information on private account that would mean a whole 'nother thing.

They found 4 in a sampling of 40, if it scales in proportion, there are 3,000 emails that contained classified information in the trove she had. She claims that there wasn't anything that was classified.

Apparently her lawyer has all of the emails on a thumb drive. I hope that someone else wins the Democratic bid, because she does not deserve it with her murky past

Does she think people forgot about her reputation around watergate? Her boss accused her of being a "liar" and "unethical".

It is public record that she did. This will not go well.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand this "scandal"? Could someone explain in small words a) why her behaviour is bad and b) why her behaviour is demonstrably worse than business-as-usual politics?

a) Her behavior is bad for a couple reasons: First is in the USA, Classified information needs to be controlled ( Documents in containers that are locked or guarded unless people are actually in use and computer systems on their own network, where you and I cannot get to them.) She failed on this because if her password was cracked, classified information could leak out on to the internet. You remember the furor that happened due to Snowden and wikileaks right? When this happens, it is called spillage. The USA doesn't want any classified info to spill out to the regular internet/public because it could threaten national security and/or damage the reputation of the US (such as when it was found out that the US was spying on foreign leaders' communications and such. b) This is worse than what other politics because with a private email server, the emails can't be archived, which it law for them to be, and she can get rid of anything unfavorable to her and no one would know. Also, when dealing with official business, except in an emergency, the US requires people to use the government systems.
