josh frydenberg, a hungarian jew, is the deputy prime minister and he now handles all the population management meetings etc.

the liberal party (the 'right wing' party in aus) promotes itself as hard on immigration, yet the reality is very different, and Frydenberg can't help but be disingenous about where our original 'migrants' actually came from (europe) as he gushes about the importance of diversity on his website:

'But despite the challenges posed by a growing population, we should never forget how important migration is to the story of Australia.

Nearly a third of the population was born overseas. Our rich cultural diversity is a strength and the contribution of migrants has helped our nation to be what it is today. Indeed, in 2015-16, 84 per cent of migrants were under 40 years of age, compared with 54 per cent of the resident population. The message is that migrants are helping to slow the ageing of our population. That is good news for the economy and for jobs.'

and yes you read that correctly. 1/3rd of Australia's population was born overseas. we're not even including 2nd generation migrants. 1/3rd of our population wasn't even born here! they're not australian.
