They exploited the fact that schools used to be just an hour of instruction a day or whatever, so religious instruction was just assumed to be exclusive. Now, kids have 10 hours a day of school and homework and know nothing about religion, philosophy, history, or politics, because all of these things follow from one another. All they know is "gibsmedat". We'll see how that goes.
