Police in California have pretty much checked out entirely. It's not worth the .00001 cents worth of electricity to even call them these days. Prosecutors won't bring charges anymore and everything is a misdemeanor.

We're going to start to see the rise of private security forces and hard core gated communities like most other third world countries.

Even worse, you get shamed, criticized and socially ostracized for calling the police

Anytime some anti-Libertarian pops up they talk about the police, roads, etc. There is no way in hell a private company would not do better across all emergency services.

We already have pothole vigilantes sneaking around "illegally" filling potholes in the highest tax city in the highest tax state. You'd think they'd stop voting for more taxes and start voting for privatization eventually.
